Master cylinder location

Hey guys, got a couple of questions. I've gotten far enough along into my build to start on systems. This truck is pretty unusual - short bed '57 on S10 frame with sbc power. (The original frame was long gone). Will a power brake booster clear a v-8 in the stock location? Or do they usually have to be moved? I won't have the engine for a while. Also any recommendations for cab corners?

I was able to fit the booster with the original V8, 292 and still keep the clutch master. If this has an automatic transmission I think there is plenty of room, although I have not seen one on an S10 frame.

There is at least one eBay seller, and several of the catalog brake conversion vendors that carry a master cylinder with a small booster that will fit beside the clutch master cylinder in the factory mounting holes. I believe CPP is one of those vendors.

The 7" booster I got fit next to the clutch mater however it ended up hitting the 5.0 EFI manifold I used. If you're carb'd, you shouldn't have a problem.

I'm running an automatic so the clutch master cylinder won't be a problem. This truck was my old hot rod from the '70s. I was running a big block Pontiac in it then and in the process of rebuilding it (from what parts I had left) I noticed the master cylinder had been relocated to the clutch side. I don't remember why this was done, or whether the previous owner had done it before I got the truck!

I know some of the guys here install big blocks in there trucks so I just wanted to know if there is usually interference with the engine. Otherwise I'll just take some measurements and mock the thing up in the stock location. I really want to get the brake lines finished up without having to wait to install the motor.

Mine is currently in the clutch side. Makes braking interesting
