front axle swap

Need help w/ two front-end questions: 1) I have a friend who has a solid dana 60 front axle off of a 91' - 98' f-350 4x4. Is it possible to put this axle on my 75' f-250 4x4? 2) I found another solid dana 60 off of a 91 f-350 4x4 w/ auto locking hubs. Will it go on my 75' 4x4 and if so, is it possible to change out the hubs for a pair of manual locking hubs? Please respond ! THANKS.

The biggest thing to look for is axle perch width. I do not know what the width is on either one of these trucks. If the Dana 60 has the same perch width as your 75 there shouldn't be a problem with getting it bolted in. You may have some driveshaft issues though. As far as yokes matching up.

You need a 78-79 Dana 60 front from a F250snofighter or F350. The 2 fronts you mentioned have too-wide spring perches. With enough time and fabrication, anything will work.
