300 big six in a 1953 f250

MTP, do you have the original rear leaf springs installed under the rear end? Can you tell me how many leafs you have in each side not counting any overloads? I have a 56 250 and Im trying to figure out if it has the original rear leaf springs under it. I can jump up and down on the frame and there is no give. Im wondering of the previous owner put some bigger springs under it. Seems like it might ride like a lumber wagon with the way its sprung now.

Clinton, is yours a 56 F-250? I have the Mid Fifty 2014 Catalog and have not found where they have a breakdown for springs. I have never came across a spring pack with only six leafs in any of my research. That does not mean its not correct, it just means I have not found it. You should have a pretty nice ride with six, huh?

Nice work! I am planning to do a similar swap into my 56. I have already bought a driving/running 96 F150 w/ a 300 6 and 5 speed. I plan to use all the fuel injection on mine as I have it all. I may reconsider that if it becomes insurmountable. How did you mount the engine/transmission? Thanks, Greg.
