Angry MAF Sensor ??

Pulled out the MAF sensor and IAC valve for a good once over with TB cleaner. Knocked a lot of crap out of both. Upon putting it back together, I started up the car, and it was much smoother idling, but had a check engine light on. I go back under the hood, and realize that the MAF sensor isn't plugged in all the way. I plug it back in, and @#$#@% the idle is all screwed up again. Any ideas on what is going on?

MAF Sensor ??

I'm betting that the computer got used to running with a MAF with crud on it. Disconnect the battery to reset it and try again. It may take a while for the computer to relearn its "strategy", during which time there may be some rough running, but it should get back to normal after about ten minutes. To minimize the amount of time, run the engine until warm, disconnect the battery, then reconnect the battery and drive.

MAF Sensor ??

Sounds like a plan. Tried it after I got home from the store last night, noticed that the terminals seem to be fused to the battery cables by time. Any suggestions on how to loosen it up? I'm hesitant to put on something like wd-40 or liquid wrench, as I don't know how it will affect battery terminals/casing.

For really stubborn terminals, I use a battery terminal puller (sort of like a gear/pulley puller).
