Hey everyone I'm just about to pull the trigger on a used Edge tuner for a good price. Question is how doe's one know if a 2004 or other year is going to work on my 2007 6.0
Thanks for the reply. I'm not trying to build a hotrod so this would be mostly for the information provided by the product. If I go beyond the 1 or 2 setting it would be due to a brain infarction caused by a prius ( road hazard )trying to pass.
I have an edge tuner and i am getting rid of it. I have an 03 f350 and it does ok. Yes I have had my head gaskets go but not because of my tuner. On several occasions I have experienced issues with the truck like camshaft position senser, crank, and a missfire. I started putting two and two together and disconnected the edge juiced with attitude tuner and all issues went away.
Not saying all edge products are junk. Just my particular one has cost me more time and money.
Personally the best edge product is the insight CTS.
You are better off with an SF3 with tunes from Innovative diesel, Gearhead tunes and the Atlas 40 tune from PHP IMO.
First i would call Edge for compatibility & I personally run an Edge CS & I love it
The Trans shifted a bit too harsh for me at first but its all customizable (perfect now) & monitors 8 parameters at once. Ive had no issues whatsoever with programming & the questions i had in the beginning were politely answered by Edge's C.S. dept.
Ive been running it for 2.5 years now & regularly pull a 5th Wheel, now i don't beat the snot outta my truck but I don't let her carbon-up either
If u do buy it make sure to Update it online before hooking up
