Keep in mind all engines in a certain family will look the same. A 390 is visibly identical to a 360, which looks the same as a 352. A 429 and a 460 look the same as each other. A 351M and 400 also look the same. This will only help you identify the engine family you have, not necessarily the actual engine size. This is a picture of the 390 in my old '74 flare side. Note the exhaust manifold. those are a dead give away to and FE engine. Another dead give away is the intake manifold. If the valve covers are bolted in to the intake and it appears half the head is the intake manifold, then you have an FE.
