Attaching chrome strips

Attaching chrome strips
I have a 1940 one ton, grill and headlights are actually a 39 style..
where do you get clips to attach the chrome strips? tried dennis carpenter, wrong size.. too big.
also need a few more strips, two sizes, one is 1/2 in wide, other is smaller 1/4 in wide, know any parts suppliers?
is there a trick to attaching them? they slide around in the slot, maybe because the size is wrong?
