I have that same grille but in chrome on my 2001. Found it on ebay and was a snap in replacement.

I need to decide what color to have it painted. The Ex is Torreador Red. I could have it painted to match, or perhaps flat black, or ???

I kind of don't get why you'd want to change grills. I like the stock 2000-04 x grills....the 05s make the x look just like all the many Super Duties on the road where the x grill is a little different, just my opinion!

Me too, if I ever got a different one it would be chrome though. I am content with my 2000 grill. It's amazing hove flimsy there grills are, I could probably grab it it the middle and pull a big hole out in it.

When I was repairing my 01 grill I was so afraid of breaking it when I was poping it out. And for some reason I have the best luck finding low flying birds so I am hoping that one doesn't find my grill and go threw it
