Does anyone make a cast piston for 300L6 that will raise the compression ratio. I curently have a 1979 that has the stock dished pistons, I added a crane cam with double springs and PC oil seals, the gross lift is still under .500 so I don't believe there would be a clearance problem. Idealy I'd like to bring it up to 9.5:1 but 9:1 would be fine. Any help appreciated

You could swap on a 240 head. That way the engine doesn't have to be completely torn down. Get the head ready to go and you could have it installed in a day. No machine shop required either.

yea, your best bet is to install a 240 head, SBC valves, and BBc roller rockers- when I get the funds, this will be my next trick. I'm having trouble finding a 240 head around here though.
