e250 camper info wanted

We picked up an e250 falcon camper over the fall.
With the warm weather fast approaching it's time for me to get out
and crawl around the van and get to know it better.

What I'm really looking for though is "hopefully" a manual on the camper package itself. I couldn't find much online for that. Few rv sites that dig into details on
certain things. Not much for a general overview though.
I've never owned a camper (or a modern van) so I'm new about the furnace/ac electrical plumbing maintenance requirements.
The roof Ac works which is great and I want to keep it performing well.
The windows need resealed but from what I read it shouldn't be too huge of a job. Some wood rehab needs done due to leaky windows.
It needs tlc basically but lots to work with still from what I see.
I was told it was "winterized" so after it was brought home, we put a tarp over her and haven't touched her since, besides starting it up 2-3 times.
Any pointers?

Cool! There is a Falcon class B for sale here locally.

Overall these rigs are pretty simple and not to hard to work on. Post some pics so we can see the beast.

I would start with the waterproofing. Have you tested the propane system? Does it have a holding tank and/or fresh water system?

Here are some links:

Whatever issues you're having with leaking windows might be one of your higher priorities when the weather breaks. If interior wood trim of the camper conversion is now damaged by a water leak that's potential trouble in the longer term.

Resealing them should be fairly easy but as with most such things photos help tremendously!

Yea we fell into this van.. Wasn't really looking for one and out of nowhere it was offered to us for a steal.
So; full of yellow jackets it was driven here, parked and covered her up and waiting on warmer weather.
I checked the intervec site for a manual but didn't find much there since it's so old. Or maybe they had one for a silly amount of money, I have to look again but recall that being a dead end.
A manual on the camper part would be awesome to locate; so I can test things like the propane, water holding etc. I was told everything works and it was winterized. (maybe the fridge doesn't but no big deal)
But a manual on those would be nice to look over even if it doesn't get into too much detail.

Waterproofing is the top priority. But need weather above 60 for a few days in a row so I can work on the windows. It's too tall to fit in my garage.
The wood damage is bad enough but won't know real damage until it's removed.
It appears to be all cosmetic though for the most part.
I'll get some pics of that when I get into it again.

The links posted are good ones, came across those when we first got her home. Windows from what I read is a fairly simple process. Found the howto on that from the travelclub link.
I hope it's simple to work on, although I hear changing spark plugs are a real joy to change on these. Designed by a contortionist engineer into S&M, hired from the VW microvan division.

You need the brands + model numbers of the items in it you want manuals on.
Most of the manuals for items in the RV can be found on line in PDF form.

The manuals that come with the RV are pretty generic not much help and if you read one you have read them all. They may tell you how to drain the water out of the water lines and how to dump the tanks.

Thanks subford
I had a feeling that was going to be the case. I wasn't sure though.

I have a few manuals from that era.
If you have the model number of the generator I might have a generator service manual + owners manual if it is an Onan Generator. Just email me, my email address is at the bottom of this post.

Most of the others can still be had from the maker of the items like the roof A/C, furnace, hot water heater and the refrigerator.

I would advise you to uncover it and start driving it. The worst thing for it is to sit all the time and not drive it. Can you drive it to work for awhile or at least a day or two a week?
That will be the best way to get familiar with it, starting with the chassis itself. It is probably going to need a few things before it can be trusted for a trip and this should be the best way to figure it out.
Also, I would post this exact thread in a camper related forum (Open Roads Forum, Expedition Portal, Sportsmobile Forum, etc.). Most people there are more familiar with RV systems. Here most of your questions about the drivetrain of the van can be easily researched and answered.

Good luck! Post up some pics. I've never seen one of these.

I would suggest the forum to use for an RV is:
The Ford part of the forum:
Ford Motorhome Chassis Forum - iRV2 Forums

The Class "C" part of the forum:
Class C Motorhome Discussions - iRV2 Forums

I think the Falcon was Glendale product.
But I do not see a Glendale forum.

Glendale RV is now out of business, see this link:

Anyone know the location of the propane tanks in a 1987 E250?

You need to be more specific. A standard E250 won't have propane at all. Is it a Class B like the Falcon discussed earlier in this thread?

Anyways, it is most likely a cylinder roughly the size of a 5 gallon bucket mounted somewhere under the rig.

Hmm, ok so what model is it? Who converted it to a Class B?

It is possible that the tank has been removed. Post a pic!

On the Fiesta the tank is under the RV outside of the frame near the double doors by the sink. It is shaped about 3 ft long and about 12 inches around.
I have one of those E250 Fiesta setting outside right now.
