has anyone had much luck using Dashcommand on a 7.3 I ordered an elm wifi dongle and bought dashcommand and the 2003 Ford add on but can not get its gauges to work for me. maybe its just the stock ones but I tried adding boost and coolant temperature Im not showing boost and the temp is -22C
Any help would be great.
That being said, if you ever get it to work please let me know what the trick was. I can't get it to work on 10 different 95-97 7.3s or my buddies 2001 or 2003. Worst 50 bucks I ever spent.
ok so I had purchased the 2003 ford pack from them for $9.99 extra and then found PDI's that are ford specific
I can now see transmission temperature and what gear Im in. I can sort of see coolant temperature but its way off (started at -111 and wormed up to -40) but I was not at operating temp yet cant seem to find any thing to get Fuel milage to work or fuel pressure. Maybe I should have got a 2002 pack the 2003 may be expecting a 6.0 not a 7.3 on a different note I hooked it to my TDi Passat and it worked fine
Does your 2003 truck have a coolant temp sensor that feeds the PCM? The OBS do not. As said above, the folks in the SD section know this stuff way better than we do.
