Trying to get a second thought on fuel rail replacement.
I've got a 302 and been scavenging for parts from the salvage yard before they crush this '93 ford truck. It's got a 351, and so far I'm left with all the ignition components to pull and upper assembly. Id like to use the 351 fuel rail, but some say it will work on a 302, some say it won't. I'm pulling all the injectors for spares, TB, accel cable. Anyone succeded or failed using the 351 rails on 302? I guess I can sell it if it's a no go.
The rails themselves are the same as what's on the 5.0, the only difference is the flex hoses at front and back, so if you were to cut one side off each and make them shorter it would work on your 5.0 with some aftermarket hose clamps,
Sounds good!! I was thinking that since the 5.0 is about 5.5" and the 351 is 7", the extra would allow for some flex when installing and so as long as a person put them on, and didn't kink the hose, it could be done without modifying. Would a parts store have these aftermarket/high PSI clamps or would I need to buy online?
I couldn't help with that one brother But I'm sure that there's someone here who can. I'm still new to these EFI's and stuff. Robert But I would ask there first If it were me I hate waiting for stuff on line. but then Again I'm Gonna be Getting alot of snow and cold here, in Idependence MO. Robert
