I might just use factory intakes because I won't be above 3500 rpm often...
You may be a perfect candidate for the Edelbrock truck intake, the 5.8 will produce more torque than stock at all rpms with improved topend components all the way up to ARR185 territory.. assuming the motor has a cam that targets low rpms which you have. If that is too pricey for you the Typhoon or Qualifier will provide added airflow and therefore more torque over the stock intake, no the runners aren't as long as the Eddy truck but they're close to the same length as the stock runners and are therefore tuned to roughly the same rpm range.
There you go, and I almost had him convinced he didn't need to buy that Typhoon lower and Performer 5.0 upper from me. Would a 1" phenolic intake spacer put the runners close to the truck intake length? Because I've got one of those to go with them. Was gonna use it all on an F250 project I was forced to abort...
I bought the Professional Products - Typhoon upper and lower intakes for a 91 ,f-250.
What a big POS these are after taking them out for a fit up and inspection , A Great Big Fail.. inside matchup is off 1/8 , using my Ridgid See Snake micro I really got a clear look inside. Shining a flashlight though the tops reveal total mismated ports
The casting is terrible inside very rough misshapen , the outside is misshapen some paces look patched, inside grinding and cut marks throughout.
I could not recommend these, you will get what you paid for . This cost me $390 & free shipping , wasted money . The upper cover gasket was screwed together wrong gasket holes didn't line up, the lower does not fit the heads correctly it seems I need to ream the holes.
Do Not BUY the cheapest parts Professional Products - Typhoon is not a good value.
Now I'm buying Eldebrock the matched set Performer RPM II EFI Intake Manifolds #7185,,,,update just bought them from AutoAnything in CA. $641.24 free shipping to Alaska , that is a deal,, Made In America By Americans
