reverse lights not working
Ive been under the truck trying to track down the reverse switch/wire to get my reverse lights working. I bought it from a guy and have been finding all sorts of little things not working. The tranny is a Ford C-6 auto, I have shot the wires coming off of the gear selector and only one is hot in any gear. Any clues and help would be greatly appreciated. The bulbs are good and I have shot the wires going to the bulbs too with no luck. I am looking for the path to find where the wire goes, and the fuse is good.

The first thing to do is get a repair manual with wiring diagrams
That switch on the transmission has the reverse light switch in it. They are known for going bad.
What year is your truck?

Its an 87 with 6.9 NT, the tranny was replaced within the last 50k but have no idea if its worked since then. The guy was very illusive about the little things that were wrong with the truck, but so far it hasnt been too expensive, just that damned starter.
