Evening folks.

I started to move some electrical stuff then supper got in the way. Needed to use the oven and the stove is the first thing I need to move.

Ya I was pretty hungry actually. Just a store bought lasagna but it was pretty good. I did spend some time under the house scoping things out for some electrical and plumbing.

That sounds like you have a crawlspace instead of a basement or slab foundation.

Oh man! I know how that is. I remodeled the kitchen here, actually moved it. So at the midway point we had two working kitchens. Then my wife didn't have the heart to make the move and start dirtying up her new kitchen. She made the move a week late. LOL

Yep I think it is referred to as post and beam. No foundation. We do have sort of a partial basement with a poured slab. A little storage along with the hot water heater and furnace.

I actually think that may be easier than what I am doing. I keep having to work around stuff. Our house was built in the 20's so it has had stuff added, one of those things is some electrical. The plugs for the stove and two others are not mounted inside the wall. The boxes are mounted on the wall with the wiring coming through the floor. I wont bring in someone to do it because there are probably a bunch of things that would have to be cleaned up. As long as I can keep the electrical safe I'm happy.

Our home was built in 1976 so it was probably easier to rework. The only person that I called in was a plasterer, I did it all and saved a ton.

I am doing the whole shot myself. I'm too cheap to pay someone and I enjoy doing most of it. Always a learning experience.

That sounds like a lot of work Chris. I redid my house in Ohio and it was a lot of work.. Luckily I was not living in it while I was doing it. Had another residence at the time. Redid walls and painting. Had some people come in and do the carpet though.. That was done just before we moved in..

I could probably have done it in a couple weeks if we were not in the house. Oh well I will get it done sometime. Hopefully I can get the electrical stuff done tomorrow and some more flooring down.

That would be good. When I was doing mine, we were eating off the grill what meals we took when we were remodeling.
