Hey Folks,
What are the dimensions of a 69 4x4 shortbox stepside? I have to replace the bed. And also the dimensions of the two intermediate support braces? And also thanks Mil1ion for the serial number breakdown.

Rough interior dimensions are 48 x 72, 20 inches total box height with about 16-17 inches from the floor to the top of the rail. You can replace the cross support rails with 3 x 1/8 x 48 pieces of c-channel steel. Cut down 2x4 pressure treated lumber to fit in underneath the c-channel as an insulator as long as you check the bolts every once in a while. Otherwise you can get those fancy rub pads for between the support and frame.
The original supports are folded sheet metal, the solid steel matches up dimension wise. These dimensions are from my box that I removed, it may be slightly different for a box in stock shape.

My bed is off a 69 4x4 shortbox stepside crewcab and is 78 inches long. Could you give me all of the dimensions for the 2 cross support rails please, length, width and height?
