Need Obsolete Part

Well, I decided to remove the welder and free up much needed space and prevent me from having to take apart the majority of the left side of the engine just to have access for routine issues. I have contacted Ford and have been told that the alternator bracket for the lower left side is no longer available. I have checked several dealerships to see if they might have one still sitting around, contacted parts finder who is still looking, and have feelers out to the local wrecking yards but so far I am unsuccessful. If anyone out there has a line on part number F81Z-10A313-AA lower left alternator bracket (drivers side) I sure would appreciate the lead.

Thanks for your time

Interesting. My second (actually my primary) alternator is on the lower passenger side.

If you know what it looks like your just going to have to go the the wrecking yards and look for your self. There's 7.3L's out there, so there has to be brackets.

I have a few parts guys talking to local wrecking yards. I will also try other out-of-state places and then I may need to head out to the wrecks and see what I can find. My hope is that omeone here will know of an old new stock sitting someplace

Whitetmw - that is the bracket for the passenger side for duel alternator. The part number is different as the one I need is F81Z while the one you found is F8TZ. Thanks for taking the time to look though

Tom - I will send him a note and see what he can find. I may end up driving into LA or down to San Diego so I have a better selection at the wrecking yards. I live out in a newer community about an hour from each with no "real" wrecking yards around.

Tapatio Autoparts - SCADA USA-CA(San-Diego) 866-597-1434 shows a 02 F350 diesel with dual alternator top alternator when i searched car-part.com for dual alternator.

LKQ of Central California USA-CA(Bakersfield) l 1-800-832-8733
shows a 02 f250 diesel dual alternator bottom alternator.

maybe they still have the trucks or engines you can steal a bracket off of.

Drove all over Temecula today with no luck. Need to expand my search on Monday when more places open outside of the area.
