S-crew Towing
I just returned from a 2500 mile trip. I was towing an 20' enclosed trailer with my Cobra (Total weight is approx 6800#). I was towing it with my '02 Supercrew with 4.6 and 3.55 rear, Magnaflow exhaust, K&N, and Diablo chip. Towing in overdrive was out of the question. Trip involved flat land to small mountain highways. Truck actually felt better at 75 to 80mph than it did at 60 to 70mph. Would a 4.10 rear gear help me a lot? Any trans mods that would help reliability besides a larger cooler? Other than needing more power, my setup was well balanced and drove very well. Wish I had a 5.4, but it's not practical at this time.
