95 f250 with 460. Just got off work and went to leave. Turn the key on, power to the stereo and dash come on real slow. Like a dead battery. Turn to start, hear the starter click, then all power dies. Key on and off a few times and nothing. Few more tries and i have power again. Same thing, starter kills power. Try to jump start and all power works as normal with key on, but go to hit the starter and kills everything. All connections look okay. What am i missing? Help is appreciated, old girl is stuck at work til i figure this out.
Sounds like dirty, corroded terminals. Not necessarily at the battery terminals, but to the starter. I know that when mine does that, it's either the positive or negative terminal. I just hate having to get out and look like I'm stranded when I'm out in public. Usually a twist or so on each cable finds the culprit.

The battery termimals are a little dirty. I didnt have any wrenches with me but i did play with them and nothing changed. When trying to jump it, it took quite a bit of messing with the clamps to get a connection.
Sounds like the terminals just need to be cleaned well then. If you have to play with the cables to get a good connection that is most likely the issue.
