Question bumpers

All I see in the catalogs is rear chrome bumpers for 64 & up. Will they fit my 61 ? I'm not concerned with originality, as long as it bolts up and looks good.

Thanks,
Daniel

Dennis Carpenter has unpainted bumpers for your truck (and mine!).

Thanks Bob, but really want chrome. I can find front bumpers, but not back. They say patience is a virtue though...lol

Did you check the Motorhaven "Parts Shop" in the top right corner?

Daniel

I think the ones at DC and motorhaven are stepside and seperate box only. Cut and paste this link to see what an original looks like:

maybe you can find a good appearance match from the photo and modify it to fit - I think that'll be my route. I've also thought about modifying a rear bumper from an early bronco - they're sort of similar. Chrome ones here:

I looked at the bumpers in Parts Shop, they appear to have both stepside and wide bed. Again they are for 1964 and newer, which leads back to my original question. Will the 1964 and newer rear bumpers bolt up to my 1961 without modifications ???

Why not just get a painted bumper stripped and chromed? Perhaps the local Harley shop can steer you towards a local chromer?

That's an idea I hadn't thought about Bob. Worth checking into.

Thanks,
