clutch problem

posted this in wrong forum! 93 f-250 4 speed with external slave.Clutch does not release all the way causing grinding and hard shifting. Replaced the clutch PP TOB and pilot. still the same. replaced the slave and then the master with no change. Whole system has been bled every which way time and time again. Bench bled whole system out of truck several times and I am sure ther is no air in system. Firewall not cracked, pedal shaft bushing are good. Plenty of movement at the slave with good pedal. The fork needs to be almost against the hole in the bell to release. I can pry the fork back and bled it and it will disengage but wont return all the way (slipping) It seems like it needs more throw from the master. Making the rod longer on the slave did not help. Any ideas? Please Help. Dave

If it wont return all the way then the rod is too long. With the hyd clutches forget anything you knew or learned with the old manual rod and linkage type. First off,... get rid of the adjustable rod. Next.. look and you will see a bellcrank that the master cylinder rod connects too.. its splined onto the pedal shaft held in place with a self locking nut. Go to the dealer and geta new one. Install it as per the instructions. The old one cannot be reused. This should fix your problem. Just make sure you follow the instructions to the letter.

I took the bolt off but the lever would not come off, It had the same number as the one listed in the TSB E7something. I figured that the adjustable rod took that variable out. It does have full throw. I was going to change the pressure plate tomorrow. ,??? Dave
