help! 69 302 won't start
my 302 won't start after removing the distributer to get to my temp sending unit. i mark the position on the block and distributer slowly and carefuly replaced and tried to start, nothing, it turns over but won't fire up. why?? need help.

is it back firing? or firing at all? if it is then its probably out of time so you will need to pull it back out bring number one cylinder to the top and reset it with the rotor in the right position.

Put the ngine back to the #1 cylinder at top dead center. From the mark on your distributor, turn the rotor(your cap is off) to line up with your mark, wich should be the #1 spark plug and cylinder. Put her in and Happy Trails!!! Good luck....
