My 1989 460 gas stalls during low speed deceleration. Otherwise the truck runs excellent. Additionally when warmed, the idle will be lower of course and will only come up when I put it in gear and then occasionally stalling.
I think I've narrowed the problem to the TAB or the MAP sensor.
I am assuming that it is fuel injected? If so, I would look into the IAC idle air control. It should be on the side of the throttlebody. It may need cleaned or replaced. It is held on by 2 8mm headed bolts and has 2 wires going to it. This is what controls the idle speed.

I replaced the IAC idle air control valve. The idle is now smoother, but not at start up. It is still will look for a stable idle.
I still get the occasional stall during deceleration. Additionally, I had the valve body cleaned a short time ago.
OK shot in the dark, Iam not much on EFI systems but could your EGR be stuck? If you can try to push the diaphram in and see if it moves. Or if you can't get your fingers on it use a hand held vacum pump to open it. And remember a lot of auto supply stores do test your computer for free and pull codes for you.
