I finally got around to banging out the major dent in the pillar of my 67 f100 and putting on the junkyard door from a 71 f250. The first obvious difference was the crank interior door opening lever on my 67 vs the paddle style lever on the 71. I plan on retrofitting the crank handle.
When I took the door off I noticed the 67 door was noticeablly heavier than the 71. I was also a little dismayed to find all of the latching and locking components a little beefier in the 67. I was a little disapointed to see what I am guessing are cost cutting measures. Kind on makes me want to start poking around a 64 and see what the construction is like on it.
