I have found that if you put a bottle of pop (sprite/7-up, and other similar lime flavoured pops work the best) in the freezer for about 2 1/2-3 hours in a frosty mug or glass (frosty mug is the best) you get a tasty, cold beverage just like a slurpe, slushee or whatever else you might call them Anyone else have any other yummy ideas like this?

That sounds delectable....

Here's mine: One can of frozen O J concentrate(do not ad water)and one quart of half and half in a blender for about 15 seconds.
It's orange julius-ish, and quite tasty.

I would go for Vanilla flavored vodka with the frozen oj and half and half. I've been drinking regular oj and vanilla vodka for a while now and it's yummy, but as soon as I buy a pair of jeans an extra size larger I'll try your blend.

mmmmm, Mountain Dew Slushy.... WHY'D Ya Have To Remind Me?

There was a quickie mart around here that had the Frozen Pepsi & Dew machine for a while, but it broke one too many times and he got rid of it. I keep begging the owner to put it back. He just offered to sell it to me. I almost bought it, till he told me the price...

You guys have WAAAY to much time on your hands lol

With my luck, I'll put the soda in the freezer, forget about it, come back 5 hours later and find a broken mug all over the place, and a mess to clean.

Do this - it's quicker:

Equal amounts frozen OJ and ice cubes in a blender (roughly half full) and blast until the cubes are chipped.

You can add water if you want -
But my preference is carbonated water (club soda).

Best orange soda in town!!!

Cherry juice and/or sherbet is optional....

1 5oz Scoop of vanilla ice cream in a float glass.
Tip glass nearly on side, pour soda slowly, leveling out glass to avoid spillage, and minimize head..
Ice cream should float with soda level. If not, tap glass, or use spoon to dislodge before continuing to pour, or you'll make an awful mess when it turns loose.
Stop about 3/4" from top.
Whipped cream, load it on.
Add crushed nuts, cherry, sprinkles, andything else you desire (all optional)

Yeah, I did this stuff for a while, can ya tell.

If you are gonna do a rootbeer float make sure you use A&W root beer, man that stuff and root beer float is awesome.

You can always make yourself your own milkshake. You put in a whole bunch of your favorite icecream and add some 2% milk (can't remember but its up to you) in a blender then add a little bit of A&W root beer, some smarties, turn on the blender till it reachers desired thickness and enjoy.
