That "67Camarodude" has written the exact same horse hockey diatribe in no less than 6 replies. Most directed at Rich, and anyone else. A few minutes ago I wrote to a moderator - LxMan1- asking to have him banned. We'll see.
I tried that website. I purchased one waited a month and no package. Tried calling and emailing them but no answer. Did that for another month til finally I gave up, reported it to paypal and got my money back. Very frustrating!! Thanks for the suggestion though...it seemed like a legit place to order bug shields from
Darren, I had the same thing happen to me when I placed an order with Armadillo last summer. Pay pal got my money back after a couple months.
The bad thing is: the site is still up and they're still taking orders. You would think the law could do something about the scam.
I tried Lmc before I went to Armadillo last summer and even tho the catalog shows them they have been unavailable since at least last summer. Like you I'm still looking.
If there is a demand for them , I will make them . Tinted lexan ,a router ,aluminum stock and some screws.might have to try .I will give you the first one Darren .
How much would it be? I've been talking to some locals and if I can just find the aluminum piece I could get the lexan or plexiglass. There's one on a 1971 pickup orange one but I don't know if the hardware and bracket would fit my 1978 camper special.
Try somewhere like a tractor supply or Lowes for the aluminum.all those places have it . I think a piece of angle for the leading edge and for mounting to the underside of the hood and a flat stock piece to sandwich the lexan in should work .
