Bill, to get this message back on track, can you by looking at my picture tell if it is 21952 or 21953. I am giving this to him and only want to know if its right. If its the wrong one its worse than nothing. I don't have my doors all apart any more- PS I think its the drivers door clip--- Left --- as you corrected me.

Similar R & L clips (9825 & 9826) were also used on carb linkage rods.

Here's the carb linkage clips, maybe use them for comparo, you can see which is which.

wow, its not like those. Its the mirror image of 9825 but the clip retainer is on the wrong side. I guess that's why the numbers are different. I know they (29823 and 29824) handed and not sure what I have. Ikeyyoth, I'll send it to you when I get an address (see my pm)and hope it works. The mustang clip shown earlier, are similar but not handed right and left and will probably work on one of your doors.
PS, if the clip Is loose, I found the lever will work intermittently, so try to get the original parts,
Welcome to the forum, its usually not this chaotic

You can get those clips in a blister pack assortment in the HELP! section of any big 3 auto parts store. I always carried some spares in my 70 before I got rid of the factory carb linkage. But if you need two of the same size, you may have to buy 2 packs. Help/10 pcs. linkage clip assortment (41017) | Fuel Injection Linkage Clip. Universal Type | AutoZone.com_

The B7A-9825-B Right & B7A-9826-A Left carb linkage clips are smaller than the door lock rod retainer clips: C1TB-8121952-A Right & C1TB-8121953-A Left.

I only posted the pic to show the right from the left.

Hey Scott and NumberDummy,

Scott, I truly appreciate the offer on your clip, but I found what I needed from ObsoleteReliableParts.com. Its an NOS part that matched the number that NumberDummy identified - C1TB-8121953-A. Thanks to both Scott and NumberDummy for all the help!

As for the Autozone clips, I'm not sure about the ability to use the HELP items, but I had purchased a set of Dorman clips. The bridge between the two loops was not tall enough to fit over the lock mechanism. Just something to be aware of if anyone else is looking for these clips.

Here's a photo of the driver-side door clip from ObsoleteReliableParts.com.

Bring up an old thread, where is the best place to source these parts? I looked at ObsoleteReliableParts.com.
I need all 3 parts, 21952, 21953, and 22152, I'm missing the whole linkage on both doors.

Sorry, I'm new to sourcing parts etc as I just bought a 65 f100, my first older Ford.
My question was how do I find out I guess the full part number as the diagram only had 21952 but full part number you were able to provide was C1TB-8121952-A?

1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog available on a C/D from hipoparts.com

Only basic Ford part numbers are listed in illustrations. The text section of the catalog is required to get the complete Ford part number.

The basic part number 21952 is the SAME for most FoMoCo vehicles, but the parts themselves are not all the same, as they are specific for certain applications only.

Pic from text section: Scroll down to 21952-4
