More Tach Help

can anyone help me. i have an 87 f-150 and switched from 4.9 efi to 5.0 carbuerated. so now my factory tach doesnt work. i guess if someone has the wiring diagrams for the instrument cluster it would probably be the biggest help!!!

The tach signal wire should be white/pink.
Check the other tach thread just couple of posts down.

More Tach Help

Early tach wires (~pre-'90) were DkGn/Y. '90-91 were Tan/Y. '92-up were Wh/Pk.

A Haynes manual ($12 at most parts stores) has the diagrams.

Don't show me no stinkin Haynes Manuals! I have the $20.00 Haynes manual and it does not show any Tach connections for an 84 B-II. Does Chiltons still make manuals? I'm still trying to get my New Tach working. I should have bought factory manuals

I've never looked in the Haynes for the tiny trucks, but it should be at the instrument cluster connector or the coil.
