I've owned both, interiors are very similar, heater vents, etc are identical actually.
i thought when i bought mine sync wasn't available in the 250 when sync first came out. whenever they came out with a new nag or computer system i thought it used to be in the 150 first then 250 then 350. my brother in laws 350 he couldn't get the microsoft sync like in my wifes 2011 explorer and his i think is a 2011. maybe dealer was wrong. i just want to be able to have all the gadgets like the 150 has. i love gadgets in my cars. if they are the same i would go with a 250.

The super duty has all of the same stuff you can get in a 150
my 0.02$, I towed for 3 summers with my F150 Eco and it was a fantastic tow vehicle for my 30ft 7000lb wet TT, we upgraded to a 36ft nearly 10k lb TT and the F150 Eco had its hands full, and power was not the issue, it was simply too much TW and wind loading for a light duty truck. The F250 was honestly night and day towing and i enjoy driving it overall much better too.
I'm watching the new F-150 with interest. We tow our 30' Airstream with our F-250 6.0L, and if the F-150 can handle it, we would seriously consider buying one. I'm hoping they pick us to be one of the testers of the truck. But the trailer's curb weight is 8,600 lbs IIRC, so it's probably 10-11K ready to go, which is near the upper limit of the current F-150. (We don't carry much in the bed of the truck - two bikes, my tools, two chairs, and sometimes a small generator.)
My biggest question about the new F-150 is whether it'll be available with a supercab and 8' bed in a nice trim level. The Ford build-your-own website for 2014 models makes that difficult to do, if not impossible. Our F-250 is a Lariat, and we won't give up features and go to a base model truck.
It would be nice to have a truck that's a bit nicer (i.e., softer ride) as a daily driver than the F-250, but we won't do that at the cost of towing ability. We have our truck for one purpose: towing the trailer. We took our camper on about 14 trips last year, so I want it to do that well.
Also - for renting a truck to tow a trailer, lots of places will give you the specs, but then when you go to rent the truck, they won't cover it for towing. It's usually specifically excluded in the contract and if something happens it'll be quite your problem. It's much harder to do than you'd think.

Gotcha, I have the sync in my 11' f250, but I don't really use it, lol.
True, but if the F-150 handles the trailer just fine, why spend the extra dough for the SD? I've already decided our next truck will be gas, so that's not an issue.
But, playing around on Ford's site again after posting earlier, they seem to want to make it so that I have to go to the F-250 to get the truck I'd want. For example, the largest engine isn't available with the long bed and SuperCab...probably to keep from cannibalizing the SD sales.
ok so i know it is early but i have a 2009 f-150 lariat. i tow a trailer for camping 2 times a year. it weighs about 11,200 lbs. my truck kinda struggles with it. i am getting a new truck this year and was thinking of a 250 just for those 2 times. i am wondering if the new 150 will tow better than my 2009? i want a 150 because the electronics inside are usually better than the 250. problem is the 150 is probably going to come out in september which sucks for camping. i go in august
I'd probably go rent an F250 twice a year for those trips.....for too many reasons to list here.
