Help with Airbag light staying on (Code 46)

I have a 2001 Escape XLT. The air bag light flashes 4 times, then 6 times when I start the vehicle, then just stays on solid. This should be a code 46. I've read that this is likely the drivers side belt buckle, and that one could
"simply unplug the buckle connector and "tweak" the pins and plug it back in".

My question is, where do I find this connector and does "tweak" mean clean, or wiggle around?

I believe it's under the seat. You just disconnect and reconnect it which may work for a very long time. If you have some electrical contact cleaner, hit it with that too.

Had this issue on my son's 04 and disconnected all the connectors under the seat, sprayed them with contact cleaner, reconnected them and the light now stays off! Great tip!

I have an '02 that had both sides replaced prior to receiving the vehicle (new), once 2 years later (under warranty) and again in 2011 (Ford covered half due to the replacement history) and now the light is on again. No tweaking, bending, cleaning has had any result other than knowing "that's not it". My next step is to cut the connector out and solder the wires together. Not sure I need the connectors on there....
