I have a 99 nav 4x4 dohc with several problems.
Most recently I was driving and it began to stutter, wouldn't take gas.
Got it home and it wouldn't start again. Also will not draw a charge from a jump. I have to put battery on charger.
Put in:
- New fuel pump
-New fuel filter
-New air filter
Drove for a few days with same stuttering and wouldn't take gas now and then.
Fuel pressure test 90 psi to the front
Took to ford for diagnostics:
-Blockage in the return line
-compression concern on #5
Drove home, Climbed under and found return tube twisted. So I fixed it and drove for a bit. next morning would not start. no fuel.turns over threw some fuel in tb fired right up.
Dropped the tank pulled pump it works good. pb/b coming from the front shows just over 6v. inertia switch ok (meaning not poped) Does not show power going to it. Checked off battery lights up.
Fuel pump relay and pcm click when key turned.
Pulled fuel relay jumped 86 and 30 inertia shows normal
Longer story short pcm and fuel pump relay showing bad.
2 relays at once?
Other issues:
Odometer comes and goes
Rear vents work sporadically (well drivers side. passenger side not at all.)
It was to late last night to test the pump off the jumped relay and snow storm right now.
But after that what do you think. Seen alot of stuff about replacing Insturment cluster, fuse box, and one on same issues and cylinder 5

Ok so hooked pump back up and jumped 86 30 pump works. But it won't work from 87 30. No power on 30 which is supposed to be always hot.
