06 5.4 troubles.
My 06 f250 is about to drive me insane.ever since I bought it its always had the same coil pack go bad on the same cylinder about every 6 months and cause a slight miss and a bit of a shake until I replace it. Well now its giving me sits I can't figure out. At idle it runs fine. As soon as you give it any throttle it backfires bucks and won't pull its self until it gets over about 1600 rpm and then it smoothies out as long as your foots in it pretty hard. Put a code reader on it and it gives me the miafire code on the typical cylinder and a kam sensor voltage low. I've done all I know to do and from what I find on the internet I'm pretty sure its a pcm related problem but a local shop told me something in the heads broke and my motors most likely shot. Any ideas would be great. Thanks!

The motor being shot seems pretty far fetched. Either they don't really know what they're doing, or they really want your money. The PCM controls the coil packs, so that would be my first guess. Coil packs aren't complicated, but it's hard to guess why the same one would consistently fail. This is getting more in depth that your typical mech, and maybe even a good ford tech. But I'm curious what the voltage and amperage difference is between your failing coil pack and the rest of them.
Bad grounding maybe? That seems kind of unlikely being it's grounded via the spark plug. Ask around and see if you have a mech in your area that specializes in that engine.
