i need help am installing 6psi blower crank pulley already chipped for such pulley will center cage fit 2003 lightning and am running diablo delta chip thanks

 

the best thing is to leave the cage off, get a pulley that bolts on with out a cage, its a lot easier to install, and with out the cage, if you ever need to change your accessory belt, its easy to do, with the caged pulley you actually have to remove the lower pulley/ cage assembly to change your belt, ive had a 4# lower pulley with out a cage on my truck over 10,000 miles with out any problems, go the easy way, unless you are really set on having the cage set up.

THANKS I WILL PROBLEY DO THAT ALTHOUGH I LIKE TO KEEP IT LOOKING AS CLOSE TO ORIGINAL I HAVE DESIDED TO GO WITH 4PSI PULLEY JUST TO BE ON SAFE SIDE FOR A STREET DRIVEN LIGHTNING 4PSI PULLEY WITH THE CHIP I HAVE INSTALLED I SHOULD REALLY BE ABLE TO TELL DIFFERENCE IN POWER/

 

With a 4# pulley and a chip tuned for it, you will deffinatly feel a difference, its your choice if you want to keep the cage, but its really not needed, the reason ford used it is because the stock pulley is extremely heavy (over 12 lbs), ford used the cage to support the weight of the factory pulley, the 4# pulley that you are going to install only weighs about 3 lbs, thats why the cage is no longer needed.
