I installed new radiator and water pump when I pressure test it holds I assume the thermostat is closed therefore it is only checking system before the thermostat. I have no leaks on hoses or water pump. Should i hook up pressure tester and run engine until it is hot and the thermostat is open? How do I know if thermostat is open? I did it briefly and did get leakage from somewhere not sure where it comes out under the transmission and by the cross member under the oil pan? Pressure fell quite rapidly. Any ideas where the leak may be. Leaks when parked on incline not when flat.
I also I hear hissing noise when I shut engine off. Afraid if may be a head gasket or heater coil.
I see the heater house is high up on firewall on passenger side. Not sure where it routes to finally get to heater coil.
