attention to all Texas Chapter Members
Some of Yall know me and alot of Yall dont.
Ive been around here off and on for a few years. Almost 5 come to think about it. I also seem to rember the "glory" days of our great chapter.
I have come to realize that some how the Texas Chapter has become divided into "clicks" this is unfair to us all as a chapter in whole
I would greatly appreciate EVERY ACTIVE TEXAS CHAPTER MEMBER involvement in gtgs and meet and greets.
In your respective areas (Houst,Dallas,San Antonio, ect.) Should participate in their own meet and greets and get to gethers atleast one every 3-4 months if not more regularly.
EVERY ACTIVE TEXAS CHAPTER MEMBER NEEDS TO BE ACTIVE WITHIN THIS CHAPTER. A group of 5 or 6 guys cant keep this chapter running. EVERYONE'S INPUT IS NECESSARY.
I am here as the new Texas Chapter Leader to get "our" chapter back on track so please help me fellas.

Robert,
I would not take non-response as not caring. I think everyone who spends time on this forum likes the forum, likes the chapter, and even likes Snuggy.
I think there is more going on here is a grand socioeconomic, the world is going to seed, do I have to worry about looters, kind of way. I am seeing it everywhere, not just here. While I do not think it is the fourth horseman of the apocalypse, I see it as troubling times in the kingdom.
People are worried. They don't post as much.
Going to the get togethers is great, but most of them have been done several hours drive away from me. I always put them on my calendar, but life keeps getting in the way (that and the high cost of diesel fuel). Face it, I am not going to drive for four hours to Houston just to meet folks for lunch.
Perhaps a good plan would be to plan a regional event, every quarter or so, and repeat them so they become regular events. Like the south Texas Work Days that TWG sponsors have become regular events. (I just wish they would pick a weekend I was free to do these. Hint hint!)
The Houston guys seem to do good at getting together (I blame Snuggy!) so let them run. The Dallas area has a fair number of folks, many reaching out to each other. Get something going up there in early summer. The San Antonio area also has quite a few members. Plan a Fall event for them. Start with the high population areas.
If you planned an event in my area, you would only have a population of 5 or 6 members to invite. Which translates into one person probably showing up. But, just thinking about it now, maybe a lunch event would work in my area. Worst case, I'll go out and have lunch by myself.....
I'll think about this a little more and see if I can come up with a few more ideas.
Keep the faith. It is a marathon, not a sprint.
