back sit swap

I have a 99 f250 and love the back sit as it folds down... .My dogs ride back there.... I have bought a 2000 F350 and it has the sit that folds up.... my dogs can ride in that sit..... I was wondering if anyone has swapped that type of sit for the older style sit that folds down.... there were made in 99 and later.... the brackets look that same but not sure..... was thinking about doing this or take the sit out and build and box with carpet.... but would really like to swap for older style seat....... anyone have info on this.... Thx

Very simply...measure the distances between your mounts in both trucks. They're likely the same as I mounted a whole new set of seats from a 2002 into a 1999.5 truck. So, if you find they're all the same distances (front to back, side to side) then simply go to a pull a part place or check Craigslist for the old style rear seat and pick it up. Probably will be $50.

Well I would say if you went from newer to older with a back seat then I should be able to do it..... I bought this 2000 F350 lariat truck which only had 51000 miles on it..... checked the epu on the computer and it check clean..... Truck was garaged the whole time.....its like a new truck..... I don't really care for the leather seats but well its was a screaming deal for the price..... and of course the back seat was a issue with its design of folding up only and not like the fold down type in the 99 and older models.... that's why I bought a 99 was for the back seat.... but bought that back in 2005.. now I have a couple of Huskies that go camping with me all the time and along with the camper..... love these trucks..... I looked at the price of the new ones and it scared me so bad..... boy..... anyway..... going to try to find a back seat..... that is tan...... called around and seams like they are all gray....... well I will see what I come up with......will post pictures after the make over.....thx
