Gage Cluster 4x4
I replaced my instrument cluster on my 04 F350 and now the 4x4 hi or low won't light up. Is it possible this cluster came from a 2wd model and not wired for it? Although you can see it's exact layout as my old one.

if you still have your old cluster set them side by side and replace the bulbs with the exact ones for each.. since you know that your old ones worked they should work.. But the cluster is made for all so it coming from a 2WD shouldn't be a factor I would think.. I may be wrong but they are universal.. also make sure that the plug ins are seated fully and that no pins were bent and or are layed down in the connectors and the cluster housing..

Ya i tought before removing the cluster again i'd try that "test" where you hold odometer button put Ignition in "on" position-then it runs through series of test. In that test the light for 4x4 comes on. So bulb is good.
So maybe in the circuitry of my newer cluster there's
an issue, cause just before the swap i had no issues with that light.
Not a big deal.
