Ok, I ended up buying an '86 Bronco with a 300 and a T-18, which was pretty much exactly what I wanted.
First question: How do I get a tachometer in this thing? I drives me nuts to not have one. I had a '90 F-150 (same setup) and all I had to do was swap the whole gauge cluster - took about 20 minutes. Is it the same deal with the earlier dash setup?
well, yes i herd it is the same, i would try it, otherwise, your truck will atleast have a throttle position sensor, so you might try buying an after market tach. eather one works
Just goto a junkyard and find a 1980-1986 F-series / Bronco that has a FACTORY tach. Take the flexible wiring harness that attaches to the back of the whole instrument panel, and of course it goes without saying that you should take the Tach too
Simply swap it all into your truck and you are all set!
