Installing audio amplifier

I'm going to Install an audio amplifier in my 2001 F250 w/7.3 diesel. My question does it matter which battery I hook it up to?

No.. you are just supplying voltage... doesn't matter. I've installed systems in all of my diesels (every vehical really) I always use the battery on passenger side and route power cable to amp under passenger rear seat. I always ground to the bolt (rear) fastening the seat to the bracket.
