fuel sending unit
I've got an '85 F150, the fuel gauge reads backwards. When it's full the needle is on E and it falls towards the F as it gets lower. Could the wires just be on backwards or does the sending unit need to be replaced? Has anyone else had this problem?

Take the sending unit wire off, and watch the guage with the key on. It should swing all the way to one side of the scale. Then ground the wire and the guage should swing all the way to the other side of the scale. If it passes this test, then it is your sending unit in the tank.
