So when I turn off my truck, if it's quiet in the cab, I hear a pretty heavy rumbling sound for about three seconds, then it quickly dissipates to nothing. It sounds like boiling water, but obviously that won't shut down that fast.
It's not acting funny, but I am just paranoid being a new used ride.
In my old truck, I could hear the coolant rumble...but you could hear that for a few MINUTES before it started to just get quieter.
This literally stops within seconds.
I haven't had the oportunity to have someone else shut off the truck while I listen yet.
My guess is that it's the turbo. When I shut my truck off, the turbo "rumbles" (not sure if that's the word I'd use for it) for a couple of seconds. I wasn't sure what it was at first, but if I quick jump out and listen at the tail pipe, it is deffinatly coming from the turbo. It sounds like a wheel spooling down, like if you spin a skateboard wheel or something and listen to it spin out to stop.
Just remembered about your exaust... Suppose you might have a harder time hearing it through all that mess!

I know. I can only IMAGINE how bad my poor truck is choking right now!
I'm hard on the hunt for which exhaust I want. It won't be on there much longer!!!!!!!!
Hoping my scangauge will arrive soon so I can hook that up too.
I did record it this morning...but for some reason, my stupid phone won't upload it to photobucket. Will try again tonight when home on my wifi environment.
