sido exhaust for v10

I like the look of dual exhaust, I have an 09 3v v10 is there any disadvantage of running a SIDO 3" in and 2- 2.5" outs vs 3" in and 3" out?

I am planning to use a dynomax vt muffler in either case, is one louder than the other?

I am not expecting much if any gain in power as I know the 08-10 v10 exhaust is pretty good and it has a magnaflow muff already, I actually want it quieter at cruise and only make noise when I punch it. The VT is basically an Ultraflow when wide open, the magnaflow sounds fine but kinda like a 6 banger at part throttle.
