Hey Group!
Well, my radio is shot and I need another one. An aftermarket one is going to run me a bit more than I wanted, so I'm going to find a used Ford one that someone has removed and put that one in mine. I want the one with the single disc CD player in it. My question is: how the heck do you remove the radio? I know you need the U shaped tools, but on my 1998 Expy it seems the dash itself actually goes over the face of the radio??!! Do I have to take the dash apart to remove the radio?? I was hoping to just pull it out and put the new/used one in???
Anyone have a nice radio with CD player to sell me?????? Anyone??????
Any and all help MOST WELCOME, especially if you've done this before!!!
The dash piece just pops off. Really easy to do. You can pry with your fingers, or with a flat head screw driver. If you have 4X4, you may need to remove the connection if you want to take the piece completely out.
