The chains are a set of truck chains my Dad gave me that he didn't use on his truck. I just cut them down a bit.

I do know they have some kind of new "chains". But they are like made of nylon or something, but definately not steel chain

Really? That's something I haven't heard of. I've seen the cable chains. So I just know of them and regular chains.
