I need to know exactly where the vacumm line is in the engine compartment on a 1999 Ranger 2WD, 4 cyl., 2.5L. I'm trying to install a cruise control and I can't seem to locate it.

No and there isn't a library in Houston that has one on the shelf. I guess I'm going to have to breakdown and go to the bookstore or parts store and get one. Vacuum. To locate a vacuum source, follow the big black hose from the brake booster back to the engine. Where it attaches, is commonly called a vacuum tree. If there are capped unused nipples, attach the speed control there.
