Post 302 low oil pressure

Hello
I have an 1998 F150 with a 302. It has about 125,000 miles on it. After it warms up and idles the oil pressure guage drops all the way down and the engine light comes on & make a little lower end noise. As soon as you drive it, or give it any gas the pressure come right back up. Is this an oil pump or a bearing problem? What is the best way to try to fix this problem? Will adding heavy oil or some oil treatment help? Also will driving it like it is do more harm?? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

are you sure that it only has 125,000??? It soulnds like your bearings are worn out. How long has it been since a oil change? if not that long I would add some heavier oil ( 20/50 ) and maybe some of the thick engin treatment to make it go unitll you can rebuild it.
doesn't sound promising to me though, if you are hearing low end noise also.
