Ok, here you go, this should be easy for you guys...
"Check Engine" light came on...
only 2 "noticable" problems during running...
1] when cruising 25-55mph UPHILLS, the truck gets to shakin...
2] from idle, smash the gas peddle and it coughs, accelerates, then dies...
The "check engine" light may or may not be related to your problem but it would be nice to know what codes are in the computer. Your problem could be as simple as bad plugs or wires to expensive computer related components.
i forgot the actual code numbers, but it said it had something to do with the exhaust or emission system. something about EGR... It wasn't very specific... I had a list of this to check, 10 or so. What i ended up doing was disconnecting a green vaccuum tube (1996 F150 V8 5.0) from the EGR valve(left side of engine) and from some contraption on the right side of the motor. It was routed around the back side of the motor and connected in the back, near the bypass...it was really two hoses connected... so i disconnected them, and routed just one over top of the motor... its outta the way and stayin cool... most problems are taken care of... 90% of the vibrations previously mentioned disappeared...
