My door ajar light on my dash stays on even though all doors are closed. I know it is the back door on the driver side. I'm looking for the sensor but can't seem to find it. Can anyone point me in the right direction. TIA
My brother-in-law had the same issue with his Ranger. Like the Explorer, the sensor is integrated into the locking mechanism. He had it lubed up and it was good to go!
Look at the catch on the rear hatch (not on the door itself but on the truck). If it is loose, or has moved, the door will close but will not trigger off the door ajar. Move it back to the original location by lining it back up with the original circle in the paint and tighten it back up with an Allen wrench.
