Can it be done?

Ok heres the deal. I hae about $2000 to spend on a motor for my truck. What i want to know is can i get 350-375hp (but can handle future150hp nos sysytem) out of a 351c for that price. Now i want the motor to last a fairly long time (the nos will be used for occasional bracket racing). What i would done is : bored .030 over, hotter cam (undecided) with a range of 2000rpm-6000rpms, work the heads, aftermarket valve train, 10:1 compression, all bolts will be arp, headers, intake, and any other goodies to make it more durable. The motor is a 1974 351c 2v that was running when it was acquired and is beening stored in a shed right now. But it does need to be rebuilt. Also i do have a set 71' 4v heads, intake and exhaust manifold in excellent shape but need to be cleaned up. I also have a 650 carter carb and several holley of similar size (one is a 750 double pumper). Before i forget i will do the majority of the assembly myself except what i cannot do (machine work and probably cam bearing and lifters) the shop doin the machine work will do (extrememly great work). So what do you guys think. Can it be done?

Sorry for the long post.

Long post . gee you never seen one of mine then ....

As for your build .. just build it to what your pocket book can afford..If you plan on racing it then go with the 4V heads and intakes and get a good set of headers ...If your going to keep it for more street use I'd try to find some Aussie 2V heads for it ...
and some 1 3/4 " headers...

Good Luck in your build ...
