Hi all I accidently put windshield wiper fluid in the power steering reservoir started the truck for a minute then turned it off fluid is now like red milk shake what do I need to do and will this damage anything? PS this is an F350 6.4 liter 2008
Welcome ! I would think that , running that short of time , a good flush should set things straight . If you only ran 1 minute there probably won't be any damage .
Couple of things come to mind: 1) find a low point fitting and drain what you can out. Reattach fitting, refill with proper PS fluid, start/run momentarily and repeat until you get good fluid draining. 2) Suck what you can out of resevoir and refill with proper fluid--start/stop, repeat til you get good fluid.
Thats all I know to do--someone else will have a better answer soon, I would think.

Flush the crap out of it with cheap atf pull the low pressure line to off of the gear box side fire it up then add atf and continue adding till there's nothing but clean atf coming out. PS point the line out of the way towards the ground its going to make a hell of a mess
75 Three90, do you know where the low pressure line is on this model also I have seen where this works in combination with the brakes how can I tell if this is the case
Take the line off the PS cooler and flush like 75three90 said . Put the hose in a bucket to catch fluid while you keep res. full .Get a helper to stop the engine when fluid is clear .
